PrepMento ("we," "us," "our") operates an AI-powered learning platform for competitive exams, entrance exams, English learning, and career preparation. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using PrepMento, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Information you give us directly

  • Name, email address, phone number, and password when you create an account
  • Your learning goal, target exam or skill, target date, and available study hours
  • Payment and billing details when you subscribe to a paid plan (processed by our payment partner — see Section 5)
  • Content you submit for practice: answers to questions, essays, resumes you upload for analysis, and text or voice input during AI tutor and speaking-practice conversations
  • Messages you send us through the contact form or support channels

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser information (device type, operating system, browser type)
  • Log data (IP address, access times, pages viewed, features used)
  • Usage and performance data (questions attempted, scores, time spent, accuracy by topic, streaks, mock test results)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6)

Voice and audio data

  • If you use English speaking practice or mock interview features, we may record and process your voice to provide pronunciation scoring, transcription, and conversational feedback. Audio is processed to generate feedback and is not used for any purpose beyond improving your learning experience and our platform, as described below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Build and continuously adapt your personalized study plan based on your goals, timeline, and performance
  • Power the AI tutor, doubt-resolution chat, speaking practice, and mock interview features
  • Generate performance analytics, score predictions, and progress reports
  • Analyze your resume and provide feedback
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send you service-related communications (plan updates, reminders, receipts)
  • Send optional marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time
  • Improve our platform, develop new features, and train and improve our AI models
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or misuse of the platform
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Use AI

PrepMento uses artificial intelligence, including third-party AI models, to power features like study plan generation, doubt resolution, speaking practice, mock interviews, and resume analysis. Content you submit to these features (questions, answers, voice recordings, resumes, conversation text) may be processed by these AI systems to generate responses and feedback.

We take reasonable steps to ensure any third-party AI providers we work with are contractually required to protect your data and are not permitted to use it to train their own models for other customers, except where required by law or explicitly disclosed to you.

4. Children's Privacy

PrepMento is used by students of varying ages, including those preparing for school-level entrance exams. If our services are used by anyone under the age of 18, we require that a parent or legal guardian consents to their use of the platform and reviews this Privacy Policy on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect more personal information from minors than is necessary to provide the service. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with information without appropriate consent can contact us to request its removal.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the platform — cloud hosting, AI model providers, payment processors, analytics providers, and customer support tools — under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing services to us
  • Payment processors, who handle your payment details directly; we do not store full card numbers on our servers
  • Legal and safety purposes, if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PrepMento, our users, or the public
  • Business transfers, if PrepMento is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your information may be transferred as part of that transaction

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, understand how you use the platform, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect some features of the platform.
