Welcome to PrepMento. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PrepMento AI website, application, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by [Your Company Name] ("we," "us," "our").
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may only use the Platform with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
- You may not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission.
- You are responsible for notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Description of Service
PrepMento provides an AI-powered learning platform that includes, depending on your plan: personalized study plans, practice questions, previous year papers, mock tests, an AI tutor and doubt-resolution chat, English speaking practice, mock interviews, resume analysis, and performance analytics, across competitive exams, entrance exams, English learning, and career preparation.
Features, content availability, and plan limits may change over time, and we may add, modify, or discontinue features at our discretion, with reasonable notice where the change is material.
4. AI-Generated Content
The Platform uses artificial intelligence to generate study plans, explanations, feedback, conversational responses, mock interview questions, resume feedback, and other content ("AI Content"). You acknowledge that:
- AI Content is generated automatically and, while we work to keep it accurate and useful, it may occasionally contain errors, omissions, or content that does not fully reflect the latest exam patterns, syllabi, or official guidelines.
- AI Content is intended to support your learning and preparation and should not be treated as a guarantee of exam results, interview outcomes, or job placement.
- You should verify critical information (such as exam eligibility criteria, exam dates, and syllabus changes) against official sources.
- Feedback on resumes, interviews, and speaking practice reflects the AI's assessment and is not a substitute for professional career or legal advice.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
- Some features require a paid subscription (Pro or Premium plans). Pricing and features for each plan are listed on our Pricing page and may change from time to time; we will notify existing subscribers of price changes before they take effect.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly, quarterly, or yearly, as selected) unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period; you will retain access to paid features until then.
- Refunds, where applicable, are governed by our refund policy [link to refund policy, if you have one, or state your refund terms here — e.g., "we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods" or "you may request a refund within X days of purchase if you have not used more than Y% of paid features"].
- All payments are processed through our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Share, resell, or redistribute Platform content (questions, mock tests, study materials, AI-generated content) without our permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our question banks, AI prompts, or underlying models
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Platform, including to complete practice sets or mock tests on your behalf
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, or infringes on the rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, other users' accounts, or our systems
- Use the Platform to submit content for another exam's actual, live assessment (i.e., using the AI tutor to complete a real exam or academic assignment on your behalf where doing so would violate that exam's or institution's rules)
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
7. Intellectual Property
- All content on the Platform — including practice questions, study materials, mock tests, software, design, and trademarks — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
- Previous year questions ("PYQs") are used for educational reference purposes; where sourced from official exam bodies, all rights to the original questions remain with those bodies.
- You retain ownership of content you submit (such as your resume or responses), but you grant us a limited license to use that content to provide and improve the Platform, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
8. Performance and Results Disclaimer
We aim to help you prepare effectively, but we do not guarantee any specific exam score, rank, interview outcome, job offer, or English proficiency level. Your results depend on many factors outside our control, including your effort, consistency, and external circumstances. Testimonials and score examples shown on the Platform reflect individual experiences and are not a guarantee of similar results for you.
9. Third-Party Services
The Platform may link to or integrate with third-party services (such as payment processors or AI model providers). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.
10. Termination
- You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time through your account settings.
- We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or for any other reason at our discretion, with notice where reasonably possible.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ends immediately, though certain provisions of these Terms (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrepMento AI and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Platform before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
